You Are Not Alone (UANA) Foundation is a non-profit organization founded in 2023 with a mission to support stray animals while fostering a compassionate community. We collaborate with both government-managed municipal pounds and private rescue centers, working together to create a better future for animals in need.
At UANA, we believe that caring for stray animals isn’t just about them—it’s about people, too. Rescuing and rehabilitating animals enriches human lives, offering connection, purpose, and joy. Through financial aid and volunteer support, we assist rescuers and shelters across Cyprus, providing help where it’s needed most.

Our goal is to create a rewarding and uplifting experience for volunteers while ensuring that animals receive the care and attention they deserve.
What We Do
Our primary mission is to raise funds and provide support for animal rescue organizations, private shelters, and individual rescuers in Cyprus. We also offer emergency foster care for pets belonging to women in crisis—those facing domestic violence, illness, loss of a loved one, or sudden changes in their living situations.
Everything we do is made possible through donations, and every contribution helps us continue our work.
Our Mission
UANA was founded by a passionate group of volunteers who saw firsthand the challenges that shelters and rescuers face daily. Running a rescue center is a never-ending job filled with financial and emotional strain. While volunteering is essential, we realized that shelters need more than just extra hands—they need real, sustainable support.
That’s why our mission is to provide essential resources like food, medical care, paid staff, and funding for operational costs. By easing these burdens, we empower shelters to focus on what truly matters—helping animals heal, thrive, and find loving homes.

You Are Not Alone (UANA) Foundation is officially registered in the Republic of Cyprus (Reg. Number ΗΕ 442538) under the Companies Law, Cap 113. We are committed to transparency, filing audited accounts with the Registrar of Companies annually to ensure that every donation is used responsibly and effectively.
