It’s a nightmare for every dog owner to be unable to care for your beloved dogs and, at the same time, be unable to find help, leaving their future uncertain.

Earlier this year, Ayshah (8 y.o.) and Konga (7 y.o.) suddenly lost their elderly owner after his short illness. His wife, who is now battling lymphoma herself, was left heartbroken and desperately trying to find somewhere safe for the girls before continuing her own cancer treatment.

For many years, this couple quietly rescued and cared for abandoned dogs and cats in Cyprus, giving countless animals a second chance. They never imagined that one day it would be their own beloved dogs who would need saving.

Both girls had been rescued as puppies from villages in Cyprus and grew up in a loving home. Despite being gentle, well-mannered dogs, no private individual or shelter in Cyprus was willing or able to take them.

After countless efforts, and when we were almost out of hope, we finally found a kind-hearted lady in the UK who was deeply touched by their story and by the situation of their current caretaker. She has offered both girls a loving, safe home, she is willing to keep them together because she knows how deeply bonded they are.

Knowing that Ayshah and Konga will be safe will also bring enormous peace of mind to their current caretaker as she continues her fight against cancer.

The cost of flying both dogs to the UK is €1,170 (€585 per dog).
